Our story is simple – Compassion Corps is a non-profit organization dedicated to reaching people who are impoverished, destitute, or otherwise in need because of injustice(s) in our world. This organization is centered in the hope that comes through Christ. We serve Christ today through our selfless service to those who have no hope.
Our mission can be found in the book of Proverbs 31: 8-9. It says, “Open your mouth, judge righteously, defend the rights of the poor and needy.” (ESV) We fulfill our mission through our deep, personal commitment to Christ, our selfless service to those in need, and through the development of:
- Compassion House
- Fairhaven Food Pantry
- Urban Restoration Projects
- Outreach to the Homeless and Prostitutes
Compassion Corps’ vision is a call to a co-operative effort. We seek to work hand-in-hand with individuals, churches, and other like-minded organizations to fully fund and complete the work outlined above.
Finally, we are committed to training. Compassion Corps understands that there are individuals and organizations looking for avenues through which they can learn to develop a balanced spiritual rhythm, understand God’s heart for the poor, and learn to live out what they believe on a daily basis. Compassion Corps encourages individuals and organizations through:
